Thermal Icebergs

When I was in Junior High, I saw a film about Iceland, and learned that about 30% of homes there are heated with help from geothermal energy. Subterranian heat that comes from volcanos erupting beneath two-mile icecaps. I also saw a film about the construction of the St. Louis Arch. But that’s another story.

This little watercolor speaks to me of hot earth bordered by cold sea… with icebergs and northern lights.

Finally

For me, this acrylic painting on paper has to do with making your (my) dreams come true… I recently accomplished something I guess I never quite believed I could do. But I’ve done it, and I’m very excited about it.
