Words Of The Lagoon 30 x 40″

I loved hearing what Madeline had to say about this. Her take was quite different than mine, but one of the things I love about art is that there’s no one right answer. When I was in school, I had a hard time with math, because everyone had to come up with the same answer, and had to come by it in the same way. It seems like I usually come up with a different answer than everyone else. Always have.

I AM NOW DYING TO KNOW MADELINE’S STORY on that piece! She is just such an amazingly perceptive and brilliant person-and sweet as can be, too. Well….I’m at a loss for words because I see something that seems so much me in it. I especially felt that when I noticed the figure holding what looked like two Koi. (And I didn’t see the fish right away-that observation wasn’t made until about 15 minutes ago.) What looked like a prominent V on the forehead. And then to the left of the figure a sweet little face that looked like Cruiser to me. I am in part so touched if that is what your story might’ve been in good part because I have been so sad lately and really struggling( not knowing what to think or how to proceed ) despite the wonderful counter balance of some true mostly brief moments of epiphany.
